What an inspiring day for Guide N Grow! We had the unique privilege of collaborating with Stanford University’s renowned CHARM Lab for an immersive tour, where our students experienced a hands-on introduction to the fascinating fields of haptics and biomedical robotics.
The day began with an inspiring talk from Professor Allison Okamura, where she explained the significance of haptic feedback in robotics and its profound influence on areas like surgical tools and human-machine interaction. Attendees were captivated by how critical these technologies are in enhancing precision and improving medical outcomes.
After the talk, we were given a tour of the lab, where we learned firsthand about groundbreaking projects from the graduate and PhD students. These cutting-edge innovations are shaping the future of biomedical engineering, from developing advanced prosthetics to creating robots that interact more effectively with humans.
We’re incredibly grateful to Professor Okamura and her team for welcoming us and sharing their incredible work. This experience opened up exciting new possibilities for our students and helped fuel their passion for STEM!
